"Yatra" - a Public Art Installation by Patricia Geraldes at Immaculate Conception Church, Panaji from 12 December '10, 6 pm
Sunaparanta - Goa Centre for the Arts in association with Directorate of Art and Culture presents 'Yatra' by Patricia Geraldes - A Public Art Installation. The Public Art Installation by Patricia Geraldes will be held on the steps of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji from Sunday, 12th December.   All are cordially invited to come view this installation. It will be on for 2 weeks. 



Once Upon a Time - The Ramayana as Painted Narrative - lecture by Dr. Vidya Dehejia on Sunday, 12 December '10 at 6.30 pm
Sunaparanta – Goa Centre for the Arts presents “Once Upon a time – The Ramayana as Painted Narrative” by Dr. Vidya Dehejia. Dr Dehejia is a world renowned Art Historian who holds the Chair in Indian Art at Columbia University in New York.   The lecture will be on Sunday, the 12th of December 2010 from 6.30 – 7.30 pm and will be held at Sunaparanta – Goa Centre for the Arts. Assavri Kulkarni will be conducting a course in Still life (Food) and Fashion (Accessories) Photography on 15th & 16th November ’10. Each class will be from 4 to 6 pm and the fee is Rs.500/- for the course. The age is 11 – 16 years, but if your child has already done the Nature and Portrait Course and is interested, we would be more than happy to register them for this course as well.

On the 6th of November (Saturday), at 6.30 pm, Sunaparanta – Goa Centre for the Arts  in association with A.R.T. (Art, Resources and Teaching Trust) and Art 21 will host a documentary screening  - William Kentridge ‘Anything is Possible’ – A new film from the producers of the PEABODY AWARD winning PBS series, ART IN THE TWENTY FIRST CENTURY.

Sunaparanta presents reading workshops for children by Jugneeta Sudan           ….learn through Power Point Presentation, Readings, Fun Activities It’s not necessary that your child should have read the book!!! You have a copy, bring it along. Session I: Black Beauty by Anna Sewell Children aged 6 to 8 years Date: Monday, 8th November 2010 from 3 to 6 pm Together we will explore the Horse Story of all times. ‘BLACK BEAUTY’…The story behind the story. We will listen to Black Beauty tell a story of love, kindness, hurt and loss. Anna Sewell’s BLACK BEAUTY is a great lesson in ANIMAL CARE!! We shall visit parts of England.  Take an imaginary trip to a veterinary hospital and learn a lot about horses.   Session II: The Twilight Series Children aged 9 to 16 years Date: Friday, 12th November 2010 from 3 to 6 pm Twilight is a series of four vampire-themed fantasy romance novels by American author Stephenie Meyer.
