With incomparable dance sequences and unforgettable songs (“Cool”, “Something’s Coming”, “America”, “The Jet Song”, “Gee Officer Krupke”, “I Feel Pretty” and “Maria”) West Side Storyis certainly the most energetic of all screen musicals.

The film also deals with ever-relevant issues like racism, juvenile delinquency and street-gang culture. Winner of 10 Oscars including Best Picture and Director, this film is based on the stage musical that was loosely adapted from SHAKESPEARE’S “Romeo and Juliet.”

Screening will begin at 6.25 pm.

All classic musicals have a 5-minute “Overture” – an orchestral piece that plays over a still image at the beginning of the movie as audiences walk in. That will commence at 6.25 pm.

Do Not miss the beginning!!  The stylized nine-minute prologue is one of the most famous in movie history!
