In addition to the many art events organized in the past, this year Sunaparanta collaborated with award winning author, Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi to conduct Salons with eminent personalities in the Arts. The aims of these salons is to explore and understand the Artist’s creative process and thinking and give the audience an insight into their minds and an opportunity to know more about their works and interact with them.
Set in the cozy courtyard setting of Café Alfresco, Sunaparanta hosted its first Art Salon on 17th November ’12 with Siddharth Shanghvi in conversation with contemporary Indian artist Sudarshan Shetty, who has worked in painting, sculpture, installation, video, sound and performance. He has exhibited widely in India and more recently he has become increasingly visible on the international stage as an important voice in contemporary art. This was well attended and appreciated by our Goan artists.
