    A 2-day workshop for young and emerging artists to understand the art world and various opportunities within it as an Artist.

    • Role of the curator, gallery and collector for an artist

     

    23rd August

    • Artistic practice and medium
    • Conceptual – New Media art today
    • Demand and Supply of emerging and established art
    • The Art Market in India
    • Expectations of an artist and of the market from an artist
    • Residencies, Public Projects, Grants, Consultancy

     

    On both days, the session will be followed by a 30-min Q&A.

     

    About Kanchi MehtaAfter completing her BFA in painting from Sir JJ School of Arts, Mumbai, and Masters with Christie’s Education in New York in the History of Art, Kanchi Mehta has gained invaluable experience from galleries, curators, fairs, biennales, public and collaborative projects from across the world. The last decade has been a very important time for arts in India, and Kanchi has been an integral part of the system. An artist herself, she has brought together twelve years of experience to empower the artistic community, encouraging artistic practices across the world.
