About the Film
One of the most acclaimed films from Hong Kong, `Infernal Affairs’ was very well received because of its original and gripping plot. The story is about a police cop who goes undercover infiltrating a crime syndicate and at the same time one of the members of the syndicate also infiltrates the police department. Both the moles have to outwit each other to gain the upper hand as their lives get more complicated. `Infernal Affairs’ gained worldwide fame after Martin Scorsese won an Oscar for the remake, `The Departed’ starring Leonardo Di Caprio, Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg. This original film also boasts of same fantastic performances by Tony Leung, Andy Lau and some critics consider Eric Tsang's performance to be even better than Jack Nicholson's.
