Film for Thought - Screening of 'Blood Simple' on 24th Oct '12 at 6.30 pm

This Wednesday, 24th October 2012 at 6.30 pm, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of ‘Blood Simple’ at Sunaparanta.

    Film: Blood Simple
    Cast: Frances McDormand, John Getz
Directed by: Joel and Ethan Coen
    Duration: 97 mins

The Coen brothers, Joel and Ethan, have made a name for themselves with films like `No Country For Old Men’, `Fargo’, `Burn After Reading’ but `Blood Simple’ was their debut film that shot them into limelight.  Like most of their films, it’s their intelligent script that takes the cake and `Blood Simple’ is a fine example of that.

The owner of a bar hires a private detective suspecting that his wife is having an affair with his employee. What the investigator finds and how he proceeds with that information makes up for this thriller that has more Hitchcockian twists and thrills than you can imagine. The famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou also remade this film in Chinese a few years back.
