About the Film
Nominated for the Golden Lion at Venice in 2002, this is one of actor/director Takeshi Kitano's best films. It has three parallel stories about love. One is about a young man who marries his company president’s daughter, rejecting his fiancee, the other is about an elderly gentleman who tries to meet his erstwhile girlfriend and the third is about a man whose obsession with a pop star goes to extremes. The film received accolades for its brilliant cinematography and costume design.
