Weekends at Sunaparanta - Drawing Workshops with Liz Kemp

09 Jan 2014 to 09 Jan 2014

Sunaparanta – Goa Centre for the Arts presents Drawing Workshops with Liz Kemp

Learn How YOU Draw – Course 1 – Materials, Methods and Ordinary Magic

This course will explore the use of different drawing mediums and how they influence and shape a drawing.  It will be based around the study of the human figure and the seven classic elements of drawing: Line, Shape, Colour, Texture, Value and Space.  Exercises from Betty Edward’s book `Drawing on the Right Side’ of the Brain will form part of the course but the emphasis will be on developing personal style and confidence in drawing.

Beginning 25th January ’14 – 8 sessions on Saturdays between 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Learn How YOU Draw – Course 2 – Take your Eyes for a Walk- Creative Nature Sketchbook

This workshop will move outdoors to develop a series of informal drawings that will explore landscape, natural forms and the effects of light.  Participants will learn to look at their surroundings in new ways and to discover the delights of sketchbook drawing.  They will look at their surroundings with a view to interpreting what they see and we will do this through a variety of mediums and techniques.

Beginning 26th January ’14 –

8 sessions on Sundays between 11.00 am to 1.30 pm

Courses can be taken simultaneously or individually.  For more details, please call us on 2421311 or email us on info@sgcfa.org
