About the Film
Winner of the Oscar and the Golden Globe for the Best Foreign Film and the Palm d'Or at Cannes, `Black Orpheus’ was an international production directed by a Frenchman with the story set during the time of Carnival in the slums of Brazil. It is an adaptation of the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice with a remarkable music score.
