‘The Smell Workshop’ for children by Monika Ghurde, Independent Perfumer & Researcher
Age Group: 8 to 12 years
Saturday, 8th August 2015!
The workshop will be held in 2 batches of 2 hrs duration each:
Batch 1: 10.30 am to 12.30 pm
Batch 2: 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm
This Smell workshop at Sunaparanta is designed to educate children to subconsciously start focusing on what they are smelling. This workshop will make them aware and alert to their surroundings and enrich their everyday life and experiences. This is an extension of the workshop last conducted at the Tinguely Museum, Basel as part of ‘Belle Haleine’ – Interdisciplinary Symposium on the sense of smell curated by Sissel Tolaas.
Monika Ghurde is an independent Perfumer & Researcher based in Goa, India. She trained and worked under an English Perfumer (From Picot Laboratories one of the last creative perfumery houses in the UK) before she ventured out on her own. She is currently involved in collaboration & research projects in Europe and is collaborating on a project with a New York based curator.
