About the Film:

Considered to be among the best works of writer Ray Bradbury's, the film is based on the dystopian novel published in 1953. The futuristic story is set in a society where reading is banned and the job of the main protagonist, a fireman, is to burn down all books. With a riveting music score by Bernard Herrmann, the film was Truffau's first color and only English language film that he ever made. It was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 1966 Venice Film Festival.
