    Date: Friday, 16th March 2012

    Time: 7.00 pm

    Duration: 47 mins

    About the documentary

A film about the life and work of J. Krishnamurti – an introduction and invitation to meet the great and radical philosopher J. Krishnamurti.  His life is explored from many sources including extracts taken from Krishnamurti Foundation archives.  His work is seen here through the eyes of two of his close friends, Radhika Herzberger and Samdhong Rinpoche.

Krishnamurti was one of the most extraordinary thinkers of the 20th century and this film will perhaps awaken the curiosity of a new contemporary audience.

Apart from his talks and public lectures, J. Krishnamurti founded schools in India, England and America.  These schools continue to this day, as can be seen in this film.

    About the film maker

Pierre Anglade is a Doctor in philosophy, a psychotherapist and a documentary film maker.  He received an award for one of his films in 1998 at the International Festival for Audiovisuals Production in Biarritz, France.

Pierre, since he was a teenager knew Krishnamurti, followed him all his life and has used some extracts of a film taken in the 70s in Switzerland during some of Krishnamurti’s talks for the realization of this film.

His previous documentary, ‘K. you are the world’ which was screened at Sunaparanta last year was very well received.
