    About the Film

People remember “Saturday Night Fever” as a cheery film about the glory days of disco filled with classic Bee Gees numbers like ‘Staying Alive’, ‘More than a Woman’, ‘If I Can’t Have You’ and ‘You Should Be Dancing’. What is often forgotten is that it is also a brutal, unpleasant and sometimes uncomfortable story of a teenager growing up in a misogynistic, violent and bigoted environment who tries to find escape from his 'dead-end' existence in his dancing. Travolta is excellent in his Oscar nominated, star-making performance as Tony Manero, the "kid" from "no place" who's "going nowhere".

The late and legendary critic Gene Siskel often stated that SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER was his favourite film of all time.

Note: Screening only for 18 years and above
