    Run-Tim: 1 hr 53 mins

Patricia Neal, Melvyn Douglas and James Wong Howe won deserving oscars but the film belongs to PAUL NEWMAN as the cold, bitter, selfish and brutal anti-hero HUD BANNON who became a popular icon for an entire generation though the filmmakers clearly intended differently. The story revolves around the conflict between Hud and his rancher father as they fight to shape the mind of Hud’s nephew Lonnie (Brandon De Wilde). Patricia Neal plays the tough and world- wise housekeeper trying to keep things on an even keel.

Based on the Larry McMurtry novel “Horsemen Pass by”
