One of the ‘forgotten’ classics of the 50's, ‘A Place in the Sun’ stars two Hollywood legends, Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor as star crossed lovers in this tragic and poignant love triangle that also is a critique on ambition, upward social mobility and the American dream.

Winner of 6 Oscars including Best Director and Best Screenplay.

Based in part on Theodore Dreiser’s An American Tragedy based on a true story, the film is also a major influence on Woody Allen's "Match Point".
