Ordinary Superheroes: Exhibition Walk-Through with the Artist on 24 Aug '19, 11.30 am at Sunaparanta

Sunaparanta is pleased to announce an ‘Exhibition Walk-Through with the Artist’ on Saturday, 24 August 2019 at 11.30 am.  This walk-through with curator Leandre and artist Viraj Naik is part of the exhibition Ordinary Superheroes: Tales from the AniMan Kingdom, a solo show by Goa-based artist Viraj Naik and curated by Leandre D’Souza

Ordinary Superheroes is a collection of over 95 ink drawings, etchings and sculptures of hybridized subjects, part of Naik’s long-term study of the physiognomy and behaviour of human beings. The exhibition features an evolutionary archive of the human portrait, illustrated as mutilations – where men are disfigured into beasts, monsters and grotesque creatures.
