Advanced Watercolour Sundays with Chaitali Morajkar | beginning 22 November 2020 via Zoom

Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts is delighted to announce Advanced Watercolour Workshop with contemporary artist Chaitali Morajkar from Sunday, 22 November 2020.  This online course is developed as part of Creative Cloud: Connecting Art to Life, and the sessions spread over 5 Sundays will cover detailed techniques with step by step demos of watercolour application to create beautiful paintings.

In the advanced workshop, participants will be guided to create 5 paintings by using techniques such as transparency, wet on wet, wet on dry, wash, etc.  Apart from learning the finer nuances of water colour application, artist Chaitali will also touch upon understanding the use of space, perspective, composition, colour theory, etc.

The 5 painting exercises will focus on:

• Landscape: Learning to control the work space and creating an illusion of distance in a 2D space.
• Still-life: Composition of objects, understanding volume and tones.
• Architectural landscape: Learning perspective, creating an illusion of depth, understanding light, colour and tones. 
• Nature composition: Drawing and painting from nature, developing a deeper consciousness with objects in nature.
