Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts is pleased to announce an intensive physical theatre workshop titled Fifty Shades of Emotions with Keatan Jadhav, founder and artistic director of Theatre Flamingo.
Inspired from the technique of Navarasa, this series focuses on the nine emotions that form the backbone of performance where the body turns into the main site of expression.
Incorporating posture, breath, stance, movement and sound to create dramatic stories, participants will learn about the emotional landscape available to performers. They will learn new vocabularies of emoting through sensory exercises and physical movements.
This workshop is open to all from any professional field, and is delivered by Theatre Flamingo, an experimental and mobile theatre company whose work is aimed at bringing theatre to rural India, activating villages across Goa and whose plays touch upon themes relevant to contemporary society.
