Exhibition Opening: memory keepers - Works from the Goa Open Arts Catalyst and Engage Artist Grants 2025 - 2026

18 Mar 2026 to 11 Apr 2026

Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, in its sixth collaboration with Goa Open Arts, announces the opening of memory keepers, an exhibition of works from the Goa Open Arts Catalyst and Engage Artist Grants 2025–2026.

Launched in 2020, the grant programme has created opportunities for artists and creative practitioners in Goa to pursue new research, collaborations, and creative projects. memory keepers brings together the newest cohort of grantees, highlighting the breadth of ideas and practices emerging through the programme. The works were first presented at the Goa Open Arts Festival in February 2026 and are now being shown together again in this second presentation at Sunaparanta.

This exhibition features works by Dnyanesh MogheRajaram NaikRini JosephRitika Singh, and Soham Bhende, along with a participatory project by ThinkArts. Moving across theatre, installation, photography, film, and participatory projects, the exhibition reflects on how memories often persist in fragments, carried through stories, rituals, landscapes, and everyday acts of remembering. From a play revisiting the life of a Goan artist to reflections on folk theatre, clay forms, photographs, submerged landscapes, and neighbourhood stories, the works trace personal and collective histories across generations and places, revealing how memory continues to be shaped and carried forward by those who keep

it.

memory keepers opens Friday, 20 March 2026, 6.30 pm and will be on view until Saturday, 11 April 202610.00 am to 6.30 pm.
