Celebrate International Tiger Day with a Special Screening of 'Looking for Sultan'

The V. M. Salgaocar Trust and Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, in association with Riverbank Studios, present a special screening of the documentary film Looking for Sultan (2017), directed by wildlife filmmakers Doel Trivedy and Gautam Pandey. Presented in celebration of International Tiger Day, the award-winning documentary follows the remarkable search for one of Ranthambore's most celebrated tigers and reflects on the larger questions surrounding the future of India's wildlife.

Observed every year on 29 July, International Tiger Day is a global reminder that the survival of the tiger is closely linked to the health of our forests and ecosystems. When tigers thrive, forests flourish, supporting countless other species and sustaining the natural balance on which we all depend.

About Looking for Sultan:
Every tiger matters — and that's why we need to find Sultan. Looking for Sultan follows the story of Sultan, the rising dominant tiger of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, who vanished without a trace. Having followed Sultan since he was a cub, Mike and Gautam Pandey set out to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Their search uncovers a larger story about tiger conservation in India, as young tigers roam far beyond park borders in
